Coaches Report:

Hi All,

Last Saturday we took on Ladder leader Broadview at home.

In our round 2 clash we went down to Broadies by 13 points and we felt that we were a touch unlucky on that day. Going into this game we had high expectations for a win

The first half was very competitive, contested football with both sides defending very well. Half Time scores – Broadview 3.6 to Phos 1.3.

The second half opened up a bit but in the end we went down Broadview (71) to Phos Camden (44).

Declan Grant led our goalkickers again with 3 goals. Best players for the Phantoms were Tom Pearce, Adam Dorward, Henry Papatolis, Dean Bonnici, and Henry Facy.

All year our results have fluctuated and we have struggled to win those closer games, something we did very well last year.

At present we are focussing on 3 main areas of Skill, Contest and Connection. The players and coaches are working overtime to train these facets and I am sure the results of this hard work are not far away.

This week we play Unley at Unley. Unley have much improved since our round 3 clash and we expect a tight contest in what is a crucial game for us

See you at the footy.
